Walk When You Talk

Walking is considered to be one of the best exercises as it mobilises the whole of the body and still doesn’t stress much on the knees and other body parts whether you are a person of ‘weight’ or not?

However, we have seen people talking much about health but hardly go to exercise. And the moment doctor says that you need to exercise to take care of rising blood pressure, you decide and start exercising. This is a similar scenario when a boss screws you up a day before the D-day for the target attainment or when a teacher scolds the child to submit the assignment the next day and he starts working the whole night.

The deadlines and expectations are well known in advance but we do keep on delaying the work just like we do with the exercise.

What matters most is the movement than the perfection. Perfection is the by-product of your efforts and it is bound to come provided your efforts are as genuine as your aspirations are. For this you need to focus on training yourself to tame the goals.

Now, what does taming the goals means? It means that you keep yourself hale and healthy. If you unhealthy and occasionally fall ill, it means that it deviates you from your goals.

Taming means keeping your mind fresh and having regular doses of new stuffs fed to it through journals and other contents. Taming also means that you keep a check on your awakening time and it should be before the sunrise. Welcome the first lights of the sun and it keeps you enlightened for the day.

Taming also means that you keep a check on your expense pattern so that it doesn’t get messed up. It also means that you enjoy with friends and acquaintances. Be outspoken. Be spontaneous. Be witty.

All the above taming activities are not a single day agenda. It is an ongoing process and takes time to yield the results.

The time table is actually a written commitment and the moment you fail to follow, you need to start afresh even if it is on the last day of your schedule. Don’t start on a negative note. Don’t be apprehensive. Don’t think of the results. Just do it fearlessly.

Once you start working on a project, it is like the rubber meeting the road. The wear and tear is likely to happen and it is not unnatural. What is unacceptable is you giving up in the middle of the project.

Just keep the momentum up. Keep the spirits high. Keep the commitment on as the world of the day is very fast and we can’t afford to lose time. So, if you want to communicate while you walk then you must do it. Redefine your strategy. Time optimization, is the crux. Multitasking is the key mantra. It’s better to talk when you walk.
